McQueen Street Members to Perform Live with The Rat Race on January 15th From 1993 to 1997 The Rat Race recorded, toured and promoted 3 CDs with producer and engineer Neal Avron. These include "Alice" recorded in 1993, "Uncle Jim's Secret Garden" recorded in 1995, and "Live Unelectrified" recorded in 1996. With a proven track record as one of the South's premier musical acts, The Rat Race took no prisoners both live and on record with their version of balls-out, from-the-heart rock and roll. The band performed with such acts as The Dave Matthews Band, Widespread Panic, The Guess Who, Vince Neil, Great White, 311 and many others. In December of 2005,
after an 8 year retirement, Derek Welsh, Richard Hatcher, Lance Lisenby
and Pat Bailey decided it was time to resurface.
