4th Concert A Success The turnout for the March 4th concert was
fantastic! Rockers were out in force to support Lance and all four
bands put on great shows. For those who did not make it to the show or
are just hearing about it, guitarist Lance Lisenby, was in a serious
automobile accident on January 1st of this year. His vehicle was hit by a train
in downtown Montgomery, Alabama and his left arm was severed. Lance is a close
friend of the band and performed on record and live with Derek, Richard and Pat
many times in The Rat Race. All
ticket sales from the show were
donated to Lance's
"Lend A Hand" Fund
to raise money for his ongoing medical bills. Over
$4,000 was raised thanks to the efforts of the musicians and the
audience.
McQueen Street is especially thankful to Damon Johnson and The
Welfare, Suns of March and Laylines for their contributions. The band
also thanks Rick Hendrick, Skipper, and 95.1 The Fox, as well as
Chris, T.C. and the entire staff at The Blue Iguana for going above
and beyond the call of duty. And,
yet again, we thank John Chevalier and crew for killer sound and
lights, Matt Finklea for massive stage management (and we do mean
massive), our merchandise team: Cherie, Amy and Sue for doing a
wonderful job and Jeff Fraiser and friends for a multitude of tasks!
Thanks to Greg at the Party Professionals for additional staging.
Lastly, thanks to Kane Bowden for stepping up to the plate and driving
one into the stands!
